2024 marked a pivotal moment in the implementation the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins V) as States had the option of submitting new four-year State Plans or making minor or substantial revisions to existing plans laying out a vision, goals, and accountability metrics for their career and technical education (CTE) delivery systems. To support states in the implementation of their revised or new plans, the Division of Academic and Technical Education (DATE), in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE), is hosting its annual Data Quality Institute (DQI) from September 10-12, 2024, in-person at the U.S. Department of Education - 550 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20024. The 2024 DQI – Supporting the Next
