This resource transforms datasets that include multiple records for each student into an analyzable single record per student dataset with a click of a button, saving the time it would take to convert the data by hand or to create a second data export. Datasets one row, per term, per student present a problem for data analysis because data must include only one row per student to use most basic statistical tests in Excel. This Excel workbook uses macros to transform multi-line student data into single-line student by reconfiguring multiple records into one line and selecting the most recent entry available for each student where there are multiple entries.

The project culminated in draft data tables and interactive tools that allow local CTE providers at the secondary and postsecondary level to review CTE student performance data, identify comparable sites for comparison purposes, and compare student performance across comparable sites.
